TV ISH: VH1 'Single Ladies' Adds New Character, Not Replacing Val

Once Stacey Dash chucked the duece to VH1's hot new series Single Ladies, the fans were shocked for two reasons. Reason number one, hello Stacey Dash hasn't been relevant on television since the Clueless sitcom and secondly she was an amazing addition to the trio. Stacey allegedly left the show due to location issues, because her children attend school on the west coast and the show is recorded in Atlanta. #SideEye
Producer Queen Latifah and creator Stacy Littlejohn have replaced Stacey with another bi-racial beauty "All My Children" actress and Oil of Olay model (and the ex-girlfriend of powerful New York club owner Noah Tepperberg) Denise Vasi.
The 28-year-old is not doing Stacey's role of "Val," but she's playing a woman named "Raquel" who has a very similar story. Deadline reports:
Vasi will play the new role of Raquel, a close friend of Keisha (McCoy) who is a savvy business woman from a prominent Southern family on a quest to discover passion. “Denise is the perfect addition to the Single Ladies cast,” Queen Latifah said. “She is bringing a fun, new element to the show.” Single Ladies, VH1′s first hour long scripted series, is a romantic comedy series about Keisha, Raquel and April (Shea) – best friends with different philosophies on love, sex and relationships, proving not all women have the same desires.
Wow, I hope this works out, Single Ladies season one was pretty good....your thoughts?
