SPORTS ISH: NBA SLAMS RAPTORS W/ $25K FINE BECAUSE OF DRAKE [DETAILS]

Drake, who is on tour with Lil’ Wayne, asked a crowd of concert-goers in Toronto to cheer for Oklahoma City Thunder player Kevin Durant, who was in attendance.
“Before we leave, I just want to show one of my brothers something,” Drake announced to the crowd. “You know, my brother Kevin Durant was kind enough to come to the show tonight and watch us. I just want him to see what would happen if he came to play in Toronto. Let him know what would happen.”

Durant received a standing ovation from the crowd, which began to chant “KD.” Durant, the current NBA MVP, “was the subject of what the league regards as a public recruiting pitch from Drake,” according to ESPN. This resulted in a $25k fine for the NBA franchise. Drake is the global ambassador of the Toronto Raptors.

Kevin Durant has been rumored to be considering leaving OKC, but cleared up those rumors recently, saying he had no plans to move.
