The show is themed around the barber shop and is a strict men only zone. The cast consists of 5 men (4 of the 5 men are from Annapolis, MD). These educated, hilariously charming and opinionated men will be tackling topics such as hip-hop, entertainment, lifestyle, sports and politics.
Every day this week we are introducing you to a cast member. The ISH Radio Show teamed up with Shop Talk for a exclusive interview, peep the full interview below.
Meet Raynard (The Idiot Savant of the Shop)
What do you define as “manliness”?
Simply always keeping your word, standing on your principles, whether popular or unpopular, and not wearing see through sandals. EVER
In what ways are you a leader? In what ways are you a follower?
I'm a leader by not being afraid to speak what I believe, regardless of whom is offended. I'm a follower simply because no one can be a leader without first learning to follow.
What was your dream job growing up?
Vanity from the Last Dragon's towel boy...
If you could change one law, what would it be?
Any child support law that unfairly impacts one parent over the other.
What’s your greatest failure, and how did you overcome it?
My greatest failure was not growing tall enough to duck into rooms when I entered. I overcame that by just being incredibly handsome and awesome.
What’s your greatest achievement and how has it shaped you?
My greatest achievement was being blessed to father two incredible sons. They're the reason I breathe. That and blue gushers. Mmmmm.
What makes you happiest?
Music... and Beyonce' leg photos
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My propensity to cut people off immediately.
If you could change one event from history, what would it be?
The white-washing of our history to perpetuate a Euro-centric agenda. (Deep, huh? Lol)
What are your three favorite albums? Why?
Stevie Wonder Songs In The Key Of Life-Stevie's greatest work imo
Nas-Illmatic-Ushered in a whole new era of rhyming
Queen-A Night At The Opera-One of the greatest Rock N roll albums EVER
What motivates you to succeed?
The thrill of competition. I need to win more than I need to breathe.
What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Haven't been to one to spectate yet.
Which rapper would make the best U.S. President and why?
Nas. Well spoken, extremely intelligent, people oriented, and if all else fails, he'd just make diss tracks about all the other politicians he didn't like
If you could have the answer to any question, what would that question be?
What WOULD you do for a Klondike bar?
